Ye Olde Kings Town of Brading.
This ancient town is shown in the Doomsday Book as Berarding and a 17th Century map shows the town as a group of cottages, the 12th century church of St. Wilfred and a port. The sea once came up to the High Street and a stone can be seen showing the high tide mark and moorings. In 1878, Brading Haven was drained, leaving the town more than a mile from the sea.

and the Old Town Hall (complete with Stocks) make this town a Meccah for summer holiday visitors on rainy days.
