Offshore view of Norris Castle

The lawn in view once bordered the sea wall that protected the the castle itself.  Sadly the wall was breached long ago and the castle grounds on the seaward side have long disappeared to the wonders of nature.

The wall is over 100 years old and is 2 miles long (Starting at Castle Point and finishing South of the Osborne Estate) it is made entirely of natural stone.    Yet another mind bodgling piece of engineering of it's day.
